A Bit of History
The Unique Folding Table Pad product was patented in the 1930s when production was started at Sloper Road, Cardiff, by the Unique Folding Table Pad Company.
When the original owners retired in 1982, the business was purchased by Bury Cooper Whitehead Ltd who continued the high standard of craftsmanship until the day they closed in 1998 and the business was transferred to Waterside Mills, Saddleworth.
We bought the business in June 2009 and installed it in our craft manufacturing department in Whitworth, Lancashire where the table pads continue to be made in exactly the same way and with the same care and attention as they have always been.
Each set of pads is individually manufactured to suit customers' particular requirements - a genuine British-made product.
